Washington has three private jet terminals across two airports: Atlantic Aviation and Signature Aviation at Dulles, and Signature Flight Support at Reagan National. Both Dulles FBOs run 24 hours. Reagan National closes at 10pm.
An FBO — fixed base operator — is the private terminal your aircraft parks at, and it is the building your chauffeur drives to instead of the airline terminal. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority names the handlers itself. At Washington Dulles, general aviation is handled by Atlantic Aviation and Signature Aviation. At Reagan National there is exactly one, Signature Flight Support.
That single fact decides most of the ground plan. Two FBOs at Dulles means the driver needs the operator name and not just the airport code, because Autopilot Drive and Wind Sock Drive are separate addresses on opposite sides of the field. One FBO at Reagan National means the address is never in doubt — but the hours and the security paperwork are.

Send the tail number and the FBO name when you book. We confirm the stand with the FBO ahead of your arrival, so the car is in position when the aircraft door opens.
Every detail below is taken from the airports’ own general aviation pages and from each operator’s location page, not from a directory listing.
| Signature Aviation — Dulles (IAD) | 23950 Wind Sock Drive, Suite 2000, Dulles VA 20166. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with customs and immigration on site for international arrivals. |
|---|---|
| Atlantic Aviation — Dulles (IAD) | 23411 Autopilot Drive, Dulles VA 20166. Open 24 hours, seven days a week. A 14,200 sq ft executive terminal with lounge, conference room and international handling. |
| Signature Flight Support — Reagan National (DCA) | 1 General Aviation Terminal, Hangar 7. Open 6am to 10pm local, seven days a week, with no after-hours call-out. |
| Numbers published by the airports | MWAA lists Signature at Dulles on 703-572-0001, Atlantic at Dulles on 703-661-0150 and Signature at Reagan National on 703-417-3500. |
| Overnight aircraft parking | Signature lists no overnight hangar or ramp parking at either Dulles or Reagan National. Heated hangar space is day use only. |
| Distance into the city | Atlantic puts Dulles 26 miles from the capital. Reagan National sits directly across the Potomac from downtown, which is why its ramp is the most contested in the region. |
At the Washington airports the answer changes by operator, and it is the question flight crews ask us most. One of the three terminals allows a vehicle onto the ramp. The other two do not.
| Atlantic Aviation — Dulles (IAD) | Tarmac meet is allowed with a supervised escort, currently a $450 escort fee. It has to be prearranged directly with Atlantic at Dulles on 703-661-0150, and the request has to come from the passenger or the flight crew rather than from the car company. |
|---|---|
| Signature Aviation — Dulles (IAD) | No tarmac meet. Heightened security across the Washington airports keeps private vehicles off the ramp here, so the chauffeur meets you in the FBO lobby instead. |
| Signature Flight Support — Reagan National (DCA) | No tarmac meet. Reagan National runs the tightest general aviation security in the country, and ramp-side vehicle access is not extended to an arriving passenger’s car. The chauffeur meets you in the FBO lobby. |
| What we need from you | Once Atlantic has the escort booked against your tail number, tell us at the time of booking. Our chauffeurs are licensed to complete the tarmac meet, and the car is staged for the escort window instead of the lobby. |
Escort fees and availability are set by the FBO and can change, so confirm the current figure on the same call that books the escort. If no escort is arranged, the meet simply defaults to the FBO lobby at no extra cost.
None of these are edge cases. Each one is published by the airport or the operator, and each one changes where a car should be standing.
Vehicle choice at an FBO is usually about luggage and headcount rather than status. Tell us the party size and we will send the right one.

Three, across two airports. Atlantic Aviation and Signature Aviation both operate at Washington Dulles, and Signature Flight Support operates at Reagan National. The two Dulles terminals are open 24 hours a day; the Reagan National terminal is open 6am to 10pm.
General aviation access to Reagan National runs through the TSA DASSP programme or a waiver, and Signature directs operators at DCA to enrol before they file. A charter or owner flight cannot simply add Reagan National as a destination the way it can add Dulles.
Signature Aviation at Dulles lists customs and immigration on site, so an international arrival can be cleared at the private terminal rather than in the main terminal CBP hall.
At Dulles, only with Atlantic Aviation. Atlantic allows a supervised tarmac meet for a $450 escort fee, and it has to be prearranged by calling Atlantic at Dulles on 703-661-0150, with the request coming from the passenger or the flight crew rather than from the car company. Signature does not run tarmac meets at Dulles or Reagan National because of the heightened security around the Washington airports, so there the chauffeur meets you in the FBO lobby.

Ramp escort terms and fees are not published by the operators; they come from our own dispatch experience at these terminals and should be confirmed with the FBO when the escort is booked.
