Staying near IAD? Here's
what you need to know

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Loudoun County, Virginia — approximately 26 miles west of downtown Washington DC via the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267). The airport serves over 25 million passengers annually and is the main international gateway to the Washington DC area, with 40+ international destinations alongside 85 domestic routes.

The hotels clustered around IAD fall into two categories: on-property and immediate vicinity hotels (within 2 miles, with free airport shuttles) and Tysons Corner and McLean luxury hotels (15–20 minutes from IAD, close to the Dulles Technology Corridor's major corporate campuses and Washington DC itself). Both serve different traveler profiles — the right choice depends on whether you're maximizing airport convenience or positioning yourself for DC access.

For guests at any of these properties who need to reach Washington DC, Northern Virginia corporate campuses, or other destinations beyond what the hotel shuttle covers, DC ExecuCar provides fixed-rate private car service from every hotel near IAD. No surge pricing, no waiting for a rideshare in a suburban Virginia location, no Uber pool. Your driver is at the hotel entrance at the confirmed time.

DC ExecuCar is headquartered in McLean, VA — 20 minutes from Dulles Airport — which means your driver is positioned locally, not repositioning from DC. This matters for early morning departures and late-night arrivals when other services are at their least reliable.
